We were the first to manufacture vacuum formed ceramic fibre products locally under license to MH Detrick ( UK ), thereby introducing the country to a extremely light weight refractory material which could be formed into almost any shape from tubes to gaskets.

Ceramic fibre is easily installed with no" drying out" period. Low thermal conductivity, high temperature stability are just some of the advantages of this material. It is also an asbestos free product and can be used for temperatures up to 1800C. Some of the products Saubatech can provide include: blanket, board, felt, mastic, adhesives, coatings, insulating fire bricks, crucibles, Zirconia insulation etc.

Fairly new on the market and due to the pressures of the European Health Organizations, Saubatech can also provide soluble fibres. This product made from amorphous man-made fibres has proven in numerous European tests that the biopersistence of the soluble fibres is very good No significant increase of fibre induced pathology has been observed. 

One form of soluble fibre is made from a blend of calcium, silica and magnesium having the ability to support continuous temperatures up to 1100C. They possess excellent insulating properties, are free of binder or lubricant and show good resistance to thermal shock.
